Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: The Best Budget Phone You Can Buy.
Introduction
Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Overview Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Design and build Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: What's good? Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: What's not so good? Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Verdict Design and build Redmi Note 10 Pro Review: Overview Xiaomi's budget smartphone, Redmi Note 5 Pro, got a major upgrade with the Redmi Note 6 Pro. With a bezel-less design, improved dual cameras and Snapdragon 636 SoC, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is the latest budget offering from Xiaomi and is based on the successful Redmi Note 5 series. In a bid to give the Redmi Note 6 Pro a competitive pricing and at the same time, pack in more features, the company has redesigned the Redmi Note 5 Pro in terms of design and build. So, what's new in the Redmi Note 6 Pro?
Design
What you'll see at first glance is how premium this is - the screen corners are rounded and smooth, the design is almost identical to the one on the Mi Mix 2 and the glass coating is extremely reflective, but because of the eye catching colors and extra rounded corners, it doesn't look as tacky as a regular glass back panel would. The protruding camera module on the back has a matte finish with color shifting in different lights, the fingerprint scanner itself is bigger than the scanner on the iPhone Xs or the OnePlus 6T, but still very easy to find with a finger. The power button and volume rocker are neatly placed on the right side of the phone and the back is slightly curved on both sides with chamfered edges.
Display
The biggest selling point for the Redmi Note series has always been the displays. Both the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 6 Pro have 5.99-inch IPS LCD panels with 18:9 aspect ratios and screen-to-body ratio of 88.3 percent. The Redmi Note 6 Pro gets an edge over the Redmi Note 5 Pro in terms of display quality, though. Not only is it brighter and has wider colour gamut, the Redmi Note 6 Pro also has a pixel density of 342ppi, making it a little more vibrant. You also get a much bigger display in terms of dimensions, at least in the case of the Redmi Note 6 Pro. There's still a bezel at the top, bottom and sides of the display, but it's not as intrusive as it was on the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The capacitive navigation buttons have also been swapped with on-screen ones.
Performance
Good: Nail-biting gaming performance Fast processor Good battery life Good camera quality Bad: Slightly sluggish performance Minor lag Low resolution display If you want a full-featured phone with a large screen and long battery life, the Redmi Note 9 isn’t a bad choice. However, if you want a mid-range phone at a budget price, it’s a better option. If you want to get the best value for your money, you can go for the Redmi Note 5 Pro or the OnePlus 6. If you’re looking for a deal, the Redmi Note 7 is available for a really cheap price on major e-commerce sites.
Battery
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, the Redmi Note 10 Pro has a 4,000 mAh battery, which is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery. In our tests, the battery charged up to 67% in under two hours, and the phone lasted almost seven and a half hours, which isn't too bad. During our tests, the phone also charged pretty fast, and took almost one and half hours to charge from 20% to 50%. Unfortunately, the 4,000 mAh battery is only partly charged, so you will have to take it to a Wi-Fi hotspot or power bank, or plug it in the charger. Camera In our review, we used the smartphone on a number of occasions. The phone's camera takes good photographs in natural light and low-light conditions.
Conclusion
I'm really really satisfied with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. It is a brilliant smartphone, particularly if you're looking for a good performer in this price segment. This phone has exactly everything you need, be it for media consumption, gaming, or you just want to enjoy your favourite web and multimedia content. You can consider it a total package where you will not feel any shortcomings. But I cannot deny the fact that this is not the most exciting of the lot. No doubt Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro has the best technical specifications in its price segment but to keep this phone on par with the competition, you will have to shell out more.
